Bumbershoot slates eclectic lineupSunday E&A Editor
Bands tried, true and trendy will headline the 2007 edition of Bumbershoot, which announced its initial lineup Wednesday. Indie darlings The Shins, hip-hop pioneers Wu-Tang Clan and the teen-friendly Panic! At the Disco will converge on Seattle Center to play the three-day arts festival, Sept. 1-3. Other acts on the list include Crowded House, Lupe Fiasco, Steve Earle, DeVotchKa, Devendra Banhart, Gogol Bordello, Kill Hannah, Norma Jean, Plain White T's, the Gourds, Lyrics Born, Roky Erickson & the Explosives, the Holmes Brothers, the Avett Brothers, Yungchen Lhamo, Allison Moorer, Magnolia Electric Company and the Aggrolites — an eclectic, if not particularly buzzworthy, assortment.

Sept. 1-3 Tickets: Three-day passes are now available for $75. Prices will rise to $95 after Aug. 17. On Friday, July 13, single-day tickets will be available for $30 apiece; they go up to $35 after Aug. 17. Information: www.bumbershoot.org The big name on the literary stage will be writer/performer/moviemaker Miranda July. Dance artists include New York-based solo performer Taylor Mac and Pacific Northwest Ballet. And the Vau de Vire Society, veterans of Burning Man and Cirque du Soleil, will stage acrobatic spectacles on the International Fountain Lawn. Also in the lineup: The One Reel Film Festival, curated by the Seattle International Film Festival; the American Poster Institute's Flatstock, featuring the work of underground poster artists; and theater programming co-curated by Theatre Puget Sound.
