Shut your mouths, people. According to "American Idol" judge Simon Cowell, you sound like @#$%!. When the TV talent show auditioned "Idol" wannabes at a downtown hotel last October, he called our locals "the worst bunch of miserable singers" he'd ever heard.
Here's your chance to prove it.
The Seattle Times is seeking Seattle's worst singers — the raspers, yowlers, honkers and warblers among us who make our fair city the country's leading producer of noise pollution. All you have to do is send us a 30-second video clip of yourself singing any song, along with your name, address, phone number and e-mail address. The winner (loser?) will be profiled in The Seattle Times, and have a clip posted on Seattletimes.com.
Upload your entry here by Friday, Feb. 2. We can accept these video formats: .flv (preferred), .mpeg, .avi or .mov. at 320x240 resolution and no larger than 5 MB. (Hint: If you are having trouble meeting the size requirement, try changing the frame rate to 15 or 10 fps.)
And remember: Your entry becomes the property of The Seattle Times, so we can trash it, podcast it, poke fun at it or do whatever else the heck we please with it.
