Two new faces — and one familiar one — will take the anchor chair in the latest flurry of announcements from the local TV world.
Natasha Curry joins KOMO-TV as its new morning anchor/reporter starting next Wednesday. The Tacoma native, most recently at the Fox affiliate in Dallas/Ft. Worth, will work alongside Mike Dardis and Jim Castillo and will also co-host "Northwest Afternoon" with Kent Phillips and Cindi Rinehart.
At KCPQ, Jennifer Cabala has joined the Q13 Fox News weekend team, anchoring the Friday and Saturday newscasts with Derek Wing. Cabala, who started Jan. 5, arrived from Denver where she worked as a reporter and fill-in anchor at KCNC-TV.
And finally Christine Chen, who bid adieu to Q13 in November and was circumspect as to what she'd do in the future, has landed back on local airwaves. On Tuesday, KCTS unveils the pilot of its new personal finance show, "About the Money," with Chen as host. The series premieres Feb. 13.
