Foodie Ray gets magazine

If your cable system carries the Food Network, you can pretty much spend every day with the super-perky Rachael Ray.

The host of the shows "30 Minute Meals," "Inside Dish" and "$40 a Day," also a prolific cookbook author, will soon be available in magazine form.

The Reader's Digest Association has announced it's launching Every Day with Rachael Ray, a lifestyle magazine. The magazine will center on food but also include tips on travel and entertaining and profiles of chefs, home cooks and foodie celebrities.

"My television programs have one thing in common — the can-do factor," says Ray, who will serve as editor-in-chief of Every Day. "... Our magazine is about much more than great food. It will help readers take a big bite out of life."

The $3.99 bimonthly magazine is set to debut in late August with an initial distribution of 650,000 copies, according to The New York Times.
