What nicer way to entertain the little ones than taking them to a Carter Family Marionettes production of "Babar & Father Christmas"? The elephant monarch from Jean de Brunhoff's charming storybook returns to the Northwest Puppet Center Stage Nov. 26-Dec. 19 at Northwest Puppet Center, in this family-friendly tale that takes King Babar to Paris and the Alps in search of Santa Claus.
For adults who'd enjoy some ribald holiday cheer, try munching on "Smorgaspork." This zany collection of cheerfully warped, holiday-related sketches and songs by Peggy Platt and Lisa Koch will feature some of the impish Seattle duo's favorite characters, including feuding country-music zanies, the Spudds, Dec. 2-26 at Langston Hughes Performing Arts Center.
