Modest Mouse's "Good News for People Who Love Bad News" has gone platinum (signifying sales of 1 million units). Fueled by the jangly-guitar hit "Float On," the album has been on the Billboard Top 100 chart for 18 consecutive weeks. Led by singer-songwriter Isaac Brock, the Pixies/Fugazi-influenced indie rockers started in Issaquah 10 years ago. Brock lives in Portland; his bandmates live around Seattle.
