Public-policy group elects dean

Sandra O. Archibald, dean and professor in the Evans School of Public Affairs at the University of Washington, has been elected to the National Academy of Public Administration.

Sandra O. Archibald, dean and professor in the Evans School of Public Affairs at the University of Washington, has been elected to the National Academy of Public Administration, an independent coalition that helps shape national public policy.

Membership is considered one of the highest honors in the field of public policy and recognizes individuals who demonstrate outstanding professional achievements, as well as a commitment to service. University President Mark Emmert was elected to the academy in 2008. Archibald joined the UW in 2003.
