On Saturday, about 1,500 volunteers are expected to work in urban green spaces throughout the area, including removing invasive plants at Marymoor Park and Golden Gardens and organic gardening at Marra Farms in South Park.

As a reward, volunteers can gather at Seattle Center for an "AfterParty," featuring bands including Speaker Speaker and Husbands Love Your Wives.

Seattle Works' mission is "to inform, connect and inspire people in their 20s and 30s to take action in our community."

Throughout the year, the organization provides opportunities for members of Generations X and Y to volunteer in their community, develop their leadership skills and get involved with each other and community institutions.

Saturday provides a great opportunity to get acquainted with Seattle Works.
