Take your pick of several Arizona players in this one. Quarterback Nick Foles was 12 for 19 for 136 yards and a TD in limited playing time. Travis Cobb returned the opening kickoff 95 yards, and William "Bug" Wright returned a punt 86 yards early in the second half. Backup quarterback Matt Scott ran for 91 yards on 10 carries, leading four Arizona backs with 50 or more rushing yards.

Arizona didn't take long to take care of this one. Cobb returned the opening kickoff 95 yards for a touchdown to set the tone the Wildcats, who scored the first seven times they touched the ball. A close second was an 85-yard punt return by Wright that gave Arizona 41-0 lead the first time it touched the ball in the second half.
WSU player of the game
Quarterback Marshall Lobbestael came off the bench and finished 7 of 11 for 103 yards and a touchdown.
WSU highlight
Jared Karstetter made a one-handed grab of Lobbestael's pass on a 64-yard touchdown play with 6:23 left in the game that allowed WSU to avoid a shutout.

Tuel goes down
The Cougars lost their starting quarterback, freshman Jeff Tuel, to a sprained knee in the second quarter. Tuel was hit hard by Xavier Kelley, and fumbled. Arizona's Ricky Elmore recovered.
