The good: Coach Paul Wulff saved his highest praise for defensive linemen Matt Mullennix, Fevaea'i Ahum and Toby Turpin. The trio accounted for 12 tackles and one sack.

The bad: Four turnovers killed any chance Washington State had of pulling off an upset. Quarterback Kevin Lopina threw two interceptions and J.T. Levenseller had one. Running back Dwight Tardy also lost a fumble. WSU has committed 33 turnovers this season.

Next up: at Arizona State, 2:30 p.m. Saturday
