Washington State has received commitments from two junior-college defensive linemen from California.
Jesse Sanchez (6 feet 3, 260 pounds) played tackle in a 3-4 scheme this past season at West Los Angeles College. The defensive coordinator at the school, Lee Lowe, says Sanchez could move to defensive end if the Cougars need him there.
"He was really good for use inside the red zone," Lowe said. "He would take over in the red zone."
Sanchez played at Culver City High School, alma mater of former Cougars receiver Michael Bumpus.
Josh Luapo (6-0, 295) is a defensive tackle from Torrance, Calif., who played for Los Angeles Harbor College.
Sanchez and Luapo are the second and third JC players known to have committed to WSU.
Receiver Myron Beck (5-11, 207), who played his high-school football at Ingraham High School, was the first. Beck played at Glendale Community College in Arizona this past season after playing safety at Eastern Arizona Community College in 2006.
Beck has completed his two-year degree and may be able to enroll this semester at Washington State if paperwork gets completed soon.
