The good: Bowl hopes stay alive. Alex Brink threw for 449 yards and one TD and set WSU school TD record with 71. Michael Bumpus broke WSU career reception record of 176 and now has 183 catches. Romeen Abdollmohammadi was 4 for 4 on field-goal attempts.

The bad: Four of the possessions inside the Stanford 24-yard line produced no points. WSU 0 for 3 on fourth-down conversions. Versatile tight end Jed Collins injured his left ankle.

Next up: vs. Oregon State, 3:30 p.m. Saturday, Martin Stadium, FSN.
