"American Idol" Top 2: Adam Lambert soars with "Change Is Gonna Come"
Posted by Bob Payne
Time for Round 2. Show creator Simon Fuller has picked "Change Is Gonna Come" for Adam Lambert.
Kind of cool to hear him sing a slower classic like this. Now he's really unleashing the wails -- and it totally works. Wow. The people that say he screams might come around after this one. His control is spectacular. Great song choice by Fuller.
Randy Jackson: "You can sing your face off and that was unbelievable."
Kara DioGuardi: "That might have been your best interpretation and performance of the season."
Paula Abdul: [Standing up] "Adam, that was the best I've ever heard you sing -- Ever. You are gonna be iconic."
Simon Cowell: "Adam, all I would say after that is you are 100 percent back in the game."
What did you think of his performance?
