BOULDER, Colo. — Thanks to Colorado, the Washington Huskies lead the Pac-12 race.
Austin Dufault and Spencer Dinwiddie each scored 15 points, Andre Roberson grabbed 15 rebounds and the Buffaloes beat California 70-57 Sunday, dealing a blow to the Golden Bears' conference-title aspirations.
California (23-7 overall, 13-4 Pac-12) entered the day tied with Washington for first place in the conference.
The Huskies (20-8, 13-3) have two regular-season games remaining, Thursday at USC and Saturday at UCLA. The Golden Bears finish their season Sunday at Stanford.
Colorado (19-9, 11-5) remains in the running to receive one of four automatic byes at the conference tournament. The Buffaloes are tied for fourth place with Oregon and their remaining regular-season games are at Oregon and Oregon State.
Allen Crabbe scored 16 points and Justin Cobbs had 15 for California, which had its winning streak snapped at six games.
The Golden Bears, who were listed as 2 ½-point favorites, haven't won in Boulder since Dec. 16, 1974.
"They deserve to win," Cal coach Mike Montgomery said of the Buffaloes. "They played better than we did.
"If we can't play better, then that's what it is. The issue with finishing first, which is always your goal, is still on the horizon."
