LOS ANGELES — Ryan Anderson, a senior guard from Rainier Beach High School in Seattle, scored a game-high 14 points to help Nebraska edge USC 51-48 Sunday.

Eshaunte Jones scored the winning basket on a three-pointer with 11.7 seconds left.

Trailing 46-43, the Cornhuskers (4-1) scored five consecutive points — capped by Anderson's three-point play after he stole the ball and was fouled while making a layup.

"I think this says a lot about our team and who we are," Anderson said. "I'm just grateful and happy to get a tough road win."

Anderson made 5 of 9 shots from the field, including 3 of 4 three-pointers.

Alex Stepheson led USC (2-2) with 13 points and 12 rebounds. Marcus Johnson, Donte Smith and Dwight Lewis each had 10 points for USC.
