GRAND FORKS, N.D. — Aaron Broussard had 18 points as the Seattle University men's basketball team beat host North Dakota 76-59 in the championship game of the Spring Thaw tournament on Sunday.
Broussard also had six rebounds and five assists for the Redhawks (21-8), who won two of three games from the Fighting Sioux (16-12) this season.
Seattle took a 34-29 lead at halftime and never trailed again. The Redhawks shot 60 percent in the second half.
Travis Bledsoe scored 16 for UND, which had a five-game win streak end.
North Dakota 93, Seattle U. women 71
Chelsie Morrison had 22 points, six rebounds and three steals for the Redhawks, who fell in the Spring Thaw final.
Kierah Kimbrough led UND (18-11) with 30 points and 10 rebounds.
Seattle U. finished the season 20-9, its best record in 16 years.
