LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Consider Louisville's forgettable nonconference season forgotten. The 20th-ranked Cardinals do.
Terrence Williams contributed 24 points, a career-high 16 rebounds and eight assists as Louisville raced past No. 12 Notre Dame 87-73 in overtime Monday night behind the kind of frenetic play that made its early season stumbles to Western Kentucky, UNLV and Minnesota seem as if they happened long ago.
Senior forward Williams, a graduate of Rainier Beach High School in Seattle, had the 14th double-double of his career.
"Obviously, the game that T-Will had was a Superman-type game," Louisville coach Rick Pitino said.
The Cardinals (12-3 overall, 3-0 Big East Conference) outscored the Fighting Irish 16-2 in overtime.
"We lost three games and a lot of people were down on us," Williams said. "To take the lead in overtime and execute, that shows that this team is maturing."
Notre Dame (12-4, 3-2) didn't score in the last 5:34 of the second half and made 1 of 8 shots in overtime.
"Their quotes in the paper said you have to overcome Louisville's pressure early," Williams said. "They didn't say anything about late."
Luke Harangody, last season's Big East player of the year, finished with 28 points and 13 rebounds for Notre Dame.

NORMAN, Okla. — Blake Griffin collected 20 points and 10 rebounds to lead No. 6 Oklahoma to a 78-63 victory over No. 11 Texas, snapping a six-game losing streak to the Longhorns.

Willie Warren scored 17 points and Tony Crocker added 16 points and nine rebounds as the Sooners (16-1, 2-0 Big 12) built a big lead early and then thwarted a second-half rally.
A.J. Abrams led Texas (12-4, 1-1) with 22 points on 8-for-27 shooting.
Vegas show to feature
Knight, Packer
LAS VEGAS — Bob Knight, the winningest coach in Division I history, and former CBS sportscaster Billy Packer plan to analyze the NCAA men's tournament in a series of one-hour television programs taped at a race and sports book on the Las Vegas Strip.
Packer told reporters the Fox Sports Net shows wouldn't mention gambling, even though they are to be filmed at the Wynn Las Vegas.
"Why Vegas is because Bob and I, and a lot of people, want to really experience what this is really like because we do think, next to being center court, this is the place to be," Packer said.

Duke has won 12 in a row.
Notes
• Pittsburgh's men lead the Associated Press media poll for the second week in a row. Wake Forest, which beat then-No. 3 North Carolina on Sunday, rose from fourth to second.
Gonzaga (10-4) fell one spot short of making the AP Top 25. The Zags are 30th in balloting for the USA Today-ESPN coaches poll.
• Bill Bayno, 45, resigned as Loyola Marymount's coach while on an extended health leave and will be replaced by acting coach Max Good, 66. Bayno, in a statement, said he was resigning "due to medical reasons and on the advice of my doctors."
• Missouri senior forward Leo Lyons, who is averaging 14.6 points, has been suspended indefinitely after an arrest on traffic charges and for failing to pay a traffic fine from 2006.
