BERKELEY, Calif. — A disgusted Joanne Boyle held a serious postgame chat with her California players and told them they have to be much better — and that came after the ninth-ranked Golden Bears' 63-39 victory over Albany in Friday's opener.
"I don't care what the score is," Boyle said. "I know my team best. It was unacceptable. I think there's a lack of focus."
Ashley Walker led Cal with 23 points.
