CAL TAILBACK Jahvid Best rushed for 115 yards on 17 carries, including a 34-yard touchdown run. Best also made a flawless pitch back to quarterback Kevin Riley, who then tossed a 53-yard touchdown pass to Nyan Boateng to complete the flea-flicker.

Saturday's Stars

Jeremiah Masoli, Oregon: Gained 85 yards on 8 carries and completed 17 of 26 for 146 yards.

Kevin Riley, Cal: Threw for two touchdowns and was 11 of 22 for 153 yards and no interceptions.

Aaron Perez, UCLA: The Bruins' punter averaged 50.2 yards on six punts and tossed a 22-yard pass that nearly resulted in a first down.
