Central Washington's Mike Reilly set an NCAA record for consecutive games with a touchdown pass as the Wildcats beat Western Washington 50-28 in a Great Northwest Athletic Conference game Saturday night.

After a safety gave Central Washington (6-1, 5-0 GNAC) an early 2-0 lead, Reilly connected with Sam Togar for a 10-yard touchdown.

It gave Reilly his 41st consecutive game throwing a touchdown pass, surpassing Bill Borchert, who had touchdowns in 40 consecutive games for Mount Union (Division III) from 1994-97.

The touchdown also moved Reilly past current Detroit Lions quarterback Jon Kitna for most career touchdown passes at Central with the 100th of his career.

A fumble on the ensuing kickoff return gave possession back to the Wildcats and Reilly connected with Jamaal Weems for a 30-yard touchdown to put Central up 16-0.

A 1-yard touchdown run by quarterback Adam Perry gave Western Washington (3-3, 3-2 GNAC) its first points. After a CWU field goal, Perry connected on a 2-yard touchdown pass to Travis McKee to close the gap to 19-14.

The Wildcats added a field goal to take a 22-14 halftime lead.

On the first possession of the second half, Jerome Morris ran for a 15-yard touchdown on 4th-and-1 to give the Wildcats a 29-14 advantage. Morris finished with 15 carries for 75 yards and two touchdowns.

Western answered with a 56-yard touchdown pass from Perry to Pat McCann.

Reilly connected twice with Johnny Spevak on 7-yard TD passes -- one midway through the third quarter and one in the fourth. Spevak eclipsed 100 yards receiving for the fifth time this season with 13 catches for 148 yards and two touchdowns to give him 12 touchdowns on the year.

For the game, Reilly passed for 371 yards and four touchdowns.

Perry was 22-of-36 for 320 yards and two touchdowns.
