LOS ANGELES — Kyle Conley hit two home runs and Brett Wilcox had a home run and six runs batted in as Washington beat USC 10-2 in a Pac-10 baseball game Saturday at Dedeaux Field.
Conley, a redshirt sophomore from Richland, hit a solo homer in the second and a two-run shot in the fifth. He finished 2 for 3 with two walks. Wilcox, a junior from Bothell, hit a three-run homer in the third, a run-scoring single in the sixth and a two-run double in the eighth, finishing 3 for 5.
Bradley Boyer added three hits, and Andy Lentz went 2 for 4 with an RBI for Washington (27-16, 7-7 Pac-10).
Redhawks clinch share of title
The Seattle University softball team took care of business, pounding out 26 hits in sweeping Saint Martin's (21-33, 7-17), 11-0 and 11-4, at Logan Field to clinch at least a share of the Great Northwest Athletic Conference title.
In Game 1, Erin Martin set a school season record with her 24th victory, giving up just four hits while striking out four. Katie Gould (2 for 3, three RBI, two runs) and Kaha Weir (2 for 3, two RBI) paced the Redhawks' offense.
In Game 2, Kelsey Reynolds pitched her 18th complete game of the season, allowing nine hits and striking out six.
Seattle U. (37-12, 18-6) set a school record for wins.
Other softball
Arizona's Taryne Mowatt pitched a two-hit shutout and struck out 15 to lead the 12th-ranked Wildcats past No. 23 Washington 3-0 in Pac-10 action. Mowatt sat the Huskies (26-20-1, 5-11) down in order in six of the seven innings.
Alicia Blake and Bailey Stenson each singled in the second to account for Washington's only hits of the day. Aleah Macon (15-13) took the loss for the Huskies, allowing six hits and four walks in five innings.

Jason Chatwood hit a solo home run in the bottom of the ninth inning to give Gonzaga (28-19, 8-8 West Coast Conference) a 6-5 win over San Francisco in Spokane. Cody Martin (4-0) pitched 1-2/3 innings in relief to earn the win.
Track and field
Heidi Dimmitt's meet record in the women's 400-meter hurdles (1 minute, 1.78 seconds) was the top performance for Western Washington as the Vikings placed third in the men's and women's standings at the GNAC outdoor championships in Ellensburg.
Western Oregon (162 points) edged Seattle Pacific (158) for the women's title, keeping the Falcons from a third straight title. The Wolves (166.5) also won the men's title.
Other individual winners for the Vikings included Erica Rance (discus, 140 feet, 9 inches) and Clara Cook (high jump, 5-4 ¼) on the women's side and Kevin Myhre (400 hurdles, 53.75) and Keefe Brockman (high jump, 6-6) on the men's side.
Central Washington got wins from Tyler Fischer (men's discus, meet-record 169-6) and Shaina Afoa (women's shot put, 42-7 ½), while Seattle Pacific's Jane Larson set a meet record winning the women's 1,500 in 4:29.66.
Rowing
All three Western Washington women's shells advanced to today's grand finals at the Western Intercollegiate Rowing Association Championship Regatta, being held at Lake Natoma in Gold River, Calif.
The Vikings' top-ranked varsity eight won its heat in 6:42.0 over the 2,000-meter course. Defending champion Gonzaga was victorious in the other heat (6:41.9).
Football
Reserve quarterback Chase Lamoreaux threw a pair of fourth-quarter touchdown passes, rallying the offense past the defense for a 36-29 victory in Western Washington's spring football scrimmage in Bellingham.
Notes
• The Northwest men's basketball team has signed four players to letters of intent: guard Greg Spurgetis, a transfer from Montana; guards Blake Solomon and Daley Landon, both of Big Bend CC in Moses Lake; and forward Jason Waltman from Monroe High School.
• The Snohomish County Explosion of the International Basketball League signed forward Alex Adediran.
