Season-ticket prices for Seattle Sounders FC's inaugural Major League Soccer campaign, which opens in spring 2009, were announced Wednesday.
Ticket packages are based on the team's 18-match home schedule at Qwest Field and start at $288. Season-ticket prices per match start at $16 and go up to $35. Prices are $39 and $75 for seats in Club Wells Fargo.
Fans in $75 ticket sections will receive exclusive benefits that include reserved parking and an all-inclusive menu in the FSN Lounge. Fans with tickets in the north end of the stadium, in $24 ticket sections, will get all-you-can-eat stadium food and nonalcoholic beverages.
The lower bowl of Qwest Field has a seating capacity of 24,500. The upper bowl will be covered to create a more intimate atmosphere.
The team has received deposits for more than 14,700 season tickets since November 2007, when Seattle was awarded a MLS franchise.
Information on Sounders FC season tickets and a seating chart is available at www.soundersfc.com or by calling 1-877-MLS-GOAL.
Football hall
inducts six
Robbie Tobeck, former Seahawks and Washington State Cougars center, headlined a group of six inducted into the Pacific Northwest Football Hall of Fame during a luncheon Wednesday.
The two college inductees were UW tackle Barry Bullard, a member of the 1959 and 1960 teams that won Rose Bowls, and Pat Locker, a running back at Western Washington who was named the school's Player of the Century. Locker is the uncle of UW quarterback Jake Locker, who introduced Pat at the luncheon.
The semipro honorees were Phil Borders, a star for the old Seattle Ramblers; and coach Mel McCain of the Seattle Rangers, among others. The associate inductee was Gary Wright, longtime Seahawks public-relations director.
