The Seattle University softball team rode stellar pitching performances to a sweep of Central Washington, 8-0 and 2-0, Sunday at Logan Field, and moved within a game of the Great Northwest Athletic Conference lead.
Erin Martin earned her 20th victory of the season in the first game, giving up four hits and two walks. In Game 2, Kelsey Reynolds got her 11th victory, scattering five hits and a walk while striking out five. The Wildcats (17-25, 12-10 GNAC) loaded the bases in the fifth inning, but Reynolds struck out Holly Rossman for the third time to end the Wildcats' best threat of the day.
