Alyssa Given stroked her way into history Thursday night, serving up three aces and 16 kills en route to a Seattle Pacific sweep of Saint Martin's in a Great Northwest Athletic Conference volleyball match at Brougham Pavilion.

In front of a home crowd for the first time in more than two weeks, the Falcons (10-9, 5-6 GNAC), made short work of the Saints, 30-25, 30-24, 30-25.

Given eclipsed Gaylene MacDonald's school mark for aces in a season in the third game, raising her season total to 60. Four more aces will give Given the GNAC career record as well, held by Seattle University's Erika Brunson (182).

Angie Wodrich added 17 kills and 10 digs for SPU.

Shealun Campisi led SMU (2-10, 2-10) with 10 kills.

Other volleyball

Seattle University took advantage of several mistakes by Alaska Fairbanks, notching nine service aces while making only three attack errors in the third game to sweep the Nanooks 30-26, 30-28, 30-27 at the Connolly Center.

Jamie Mellies had 31 assists, Nikole Thompson had a team-high 11 kills, and Libby Graff had four service aces for the Redhawks (9-11, 6-6 GNAC).

Maureen Perez had 41 assists and Tara West had 15 kills, but Washington State (9-13, 0-8 Pac-10) fell 30-25, 20-30, 30-24, 30-18 to USC in Pullman.

• Angie Alvord had a match-high eight blocks and shared match-high honors with 12 kills as Western Washington (15-4, 11-1 GNAC) took a 30-14, 30-15, 30-22 victory over Central Washington in Bellingham.

Rachel Schurman led the Wildcats (8-13, 6-5) with 11 kills.

Ashley Hamilton had a career-high 43 assists as Eastern Washington (7-13, 6-3 Big Sky) beat Idaho State 29-31, 30-20, 30-26, 32-30 in Pocatello, Idaho.
