Kevin Forrest, the Pac-10 Player of the Year in 2006 for the Washington men's soccer team, has been lost for the rest of the season because of a stress fracture in his left foot.

"Kevin's season-ending injury has caught everyone by surprise and we really feel sorry for him since this is his final season with us," UW coach Dean Wurzberger said. "I know Kevin is terribly disappointed that he can't continue on the field but we intend to use his leadership, experience and enthusiasm to help guide the team throughout the rest of season."
Forrest was on track for another standout season in 2007, leading the Pac-10 and the Huskies in goals (six), points (15) and shots (45) prior to the injury. He was the College Soccer News national player of the week in September after scoring two of UW's three goals in road victories over No. 28 New Mexico and No. 3 Southern Methodist.
