Peet's Coffee raising most drink prices by a dime

Posted by Melissa Allison

Peet's Coffee & Tea is the latest coffee company raising prices because of high coffee costs. It will raise prices on most drinks by 10 cents and coffee beans by an average of 8 percent, AP reported.

In a less straightforward statement last week, Starbucks said it would raise prices on some drinks in some markets.

J.M. Smucker in Ohio raised prices on its Folgers, Dunkin' Donuts and Millstone brands by an average of 9 percent in August, and Green Mountain Coffee Roasters of Vermont plans a 10 to 15 percent increase in October on K-Cup packs for the Keurig single-cup brewing system.
