WING AND A PRAYER? Europe's air safety authority ordered checks on the entire global fleet of 68 Airbus A380 superjumbo jets for cracks on parts inside the wings - extending a previous order to inspect nearly a third of the planes.
KEEP `EM FLYING: Airbus has repair kits for the problem, which are currently being installed, and the aircraft remain safe to fly.
OTHER PROBLEMS? Australia's Qantas Airways temporarily grounded one of its A380s after discovering dozens of hairline cracks in its wings. It said that the cracks were different than those that prompted the initial inspections.
