More than 350 employees of defense contractor URS Federal Services at Joint Base Lewis-McChord have voted to join the Machinists union.

The International Association of Machinists' District 751 said about 71 percent of those voting in the Dec. 8 election favored joining the union.

The workers re-set helicopters and do site maintenance at JBLM, according to the union.
