Wells Fargo laying off 114 in Bellevue
Wells Fargo Home Mortgage is closing an office in Bellevue and laying off 114 people who work there, a spokeswoman said Wednesday.

Wells Fargo Home Mortgage, a unit of Wells Fargo & Co., is closing an office at 600 108th Ave N.E. in Bellevue and laying off 114 people who work there, a spokeswoman said Wednesday.
The employees will receive pay and benefits through Aug. 22, after which some may be eligible for a severance package depending on their years of service, said Wells Fargo spokeswoman Lara Underhill.
The employees, who worked on loan modifications across the country, can also apply for other positions in the company, she said. The company said it decided to close the office when its lease came up for renewal.
Wells Fargo has about 5,000 employees in Washington state.
