Architects' custom-home tour this weekend in Seattle area
A two-day event, which includes tours allowing the public inside custom homes in the Seattle area that were designed by top architects, is this weekend.
The Tour of Architects opens Saturday with Tour One on Bainbridge Island. On Sunday is Tour Two in Seattle, Mercer Island and Bellevue. Both are from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
The tours are sponsored by Seattle Homes and Lifestyles, Design Within Reach and AIA, Seattle. They will give 100 percent of profits from the Sunday tour to the American Red Cross for disaster relief in Japan.
For online tickets ($20 per tour or $28 for both tours) and more information, go to www.tourofarchitects.com.
