Appointments, promotions and awards in the business community.
Seattle area
Banking: Chuck Brockway was hired as vice president and relationship manager at Fortune Bank.
Construction/energy services: Peter Locke was appointed sustainability consulting director at McKinstry.
Health care: Dr. Julie Lamb joined Pacific Northwest Fertility & In Vitro Fertilization Specialists. Dr. Mark McCabe joined The Polyclinic.
Hotels: Steve Vissotzky was hired as general manager of Grand Hyatt Seattle and Hyatt at Olive 8.
Housing: Scott Schaffer was appointed executive director of Common Ground.
Law: Darryl Hair was named chief operating officer at Stoel Rives.
Retail: Ben Franz-Knight was appointed the executive director of the Pike Place Market Preservation & Development Authority (PDA).
Eastside
Accounting: Lauren Pratt was hired as a senior tax accountant at Kovarik & Kim, Bellevue.
Hospitality: Matthew Davis was named wine director and restaurant manager at Barking Frog at Willows Lodge, Woodinville.
