2009 CEO Pay | Top female CEOs

Blue Nile President & CEO Diane Irvine was paid about $2 million in 2009, according to a company filing, but her compensation may end up being much higher. The value of stock options she was awarded in early 2009 has soared as the company's share price has climbed.
Of 128 Northwest CEOs covered in the analysis, just seven were women. The best-paid, Schnitzer Steel's Tamara Lundgren, ranked 18th among CEOs overall — and she made less than half what she was paid in 2008, when she was Schnitzer's chief operating officer. Of the five female CEOs who held their companies' top jobs in both 2008 and 2009, all saw double-digit declines in their total compensation last year. Here are the five best-paid female CEOs for 2009.
