Boeing gets $10.8M Navy pact

Boeing Co.'s McDonnell Douglas received a $10.8 million contract boost from the Navy to provide services for the F/A-18 aircraft for seven foreign governments, the Pentagon said late Thursday.

The U.S. plane maker will provide services on aircraft owned by the governments of Switzerland, Australia, Finland, Canada, Kuwait, Malaysia and Spain, according to the contracting notice.

Work will be performed in St. Louis and is expected to be completed in December 2010.

Shares of the Chicago company added 39 cents to $50.67 in midday trading Friday.
