JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. —

A week of warm, dry weather has finally allowed Missouri farmers to make some progress harvesting corn and soybeans.

An unusually wet October put the fall harvest behind schedule for many farmers.

The National Agriculture Statistics Service says that almost two-thirds of Missouri's corn and soybean crops have now been harvested.

Even so, the agency said Monday that the corn harvest is more than a month behind its normal pace and the soybean harvest is about 11 days behind normal.
