Microsoft to buy SourceGear assets

Microsoft Corp. said Monday it will buy some assets of SourceGear LLC that will bolster its software design products.

REDMOND, Wash. —

Microsoft Corp. said Monday it will buy some assets of SourceGear LLC that will bolster its software design products.

Financial details were not disclosed.

Microsoft said it will acquire the Teamprise-related assets of SourceGear, a privately held Champaign, Ill.-based company that provides programming applications.

The assets will be integrated into next year's version of the Microsoft software writing program Visual Studio, the company said.
