Tuesday: The three-day SAE 2009 AeroTech Congress and Exhibition starts at the Washington State Convention & Trade Center. Keynote speakers at this global aerospace-engineering conference include Mike Bair, Boeing's vice president of business strategy and former head of the 787 program.
Thursday: Nordstrom discusses its third-quarter financial results in a 1:45 p.m. conference call webcast at http://investor.nordstrom.com. ... Costco Wholesale will open its first store in Manhattan, in Spanish Harlem, making the Bronx the only New York City borough without a Costco.
Friday: Alan Mulally, Ford CEO since 2006 and former chief of Boeing Commercial Airplanes, speaks at the Prosperity Partnership's annual fall luncheon at the Washington State Convention & Trade Center, noon-1:30 p.m. Mulally is expected to offer his thoughts on the state's business climate, a timely topic after Boeing's choice of South Carolina over Washington for the second 787 production line.
