New Jersey has received more than $44 million in federal economic stimulus funds to help 65 communities in the Garden State pay for energy efficiency programs.
U.S. Energy Secretary Steven Chu announced the total Wednesday at the New Jersey Clean Energy Conference in Atlantic City, where he delivered the keynote address.
Chu said New Jersey is moving in the right direction with solar installations and projects to explore offshore wind power capabilities. He urged state officials to consider even more community clean energy projects.
