The Suncadia resort near Cle Elum laid off 40 employees Wednesday, according to the Ellensburg Daily Record.

Karen Porter, director of marketing, told the newspaper that the cuts, about 10 percent of the total work force, came "in all departments and at all levels" and included management and both hourly and salaried employees.

In October, the resort laid off a smaller number of employees and closed its Inn at Suncadia for the winter.
