Contract talks between Boeing and its white-collar union, the Society of Professional Engineering Employees in Aerospace (SPEEA), will continue today.
A day of talks Thursday left some issues outstanding. In the evening, the SPEEA governing council met in a regularly scheduled session to vote on whether to issue a ballot for strike authorization. This is a formal negotiating step; it does not indicate that a strike is likely.
Boeing said it still hopes for a resolution of the bargaining this week.
