Precision Castparts said Monday that it is buying Fatigue Technology, a Seattle company that makes aerospace fasteners.
Portland-based Precision Castparts manufactures airplane engine components and other specialty metal parts.
The cash deal was expected to immediately contribute to Precision Castparts' earnings. But the price was not disclosed.
The acquisition is expected to be complete by the third quarter of fiscal 2009.
