Seattle area

Architecture: Tom Bahn was hired as chief operating officer at Callison. Harold Moniz was named senior planner at CollinsWoerman.

Associations: Ed Oberg was appointed CEO of the Cascade Water Alliance.

Banking: Tifinie Nelson was hired as vice president and relationship manager for private banking at Fortune Bank.

Financial services: Gerry Gray was named vice president and William Whitaker senior vice president, both in the private client group of Kibble & Prentice.

Forest products: Rosemary Daszkiewicz was appointed senior director, law at Plum Creek Timber.

Health care: Ross Hayes joined Providence Hospice of Seattle as the medical director for the Stepping Stones Pediatric Hospice and Palliative Care Program.

Insurance: Kirk Chartier was named senior leader of distribution and strategy as Safeco.

Law: Katie Chapman and Michael "Jake" Ewart joined Hillis Clark Martin & Peterson. Tamara Watts and Trilby Robinson-Dorn were named partners at K & L Gates.

Retail: Lara Konick-Mann was named director of merchandising and marketing at the University Book Store.

Universities: Russell Van Gelder became the chairman of the University of Washington School of Medicine's Department of Ophthalmology and Meg Kerrigan appointed the executive director for the University of Washington Physicians Network, also known as the UW Medicine Neighborhood Clinics.
