Boeing, which has already surpassed a company order record it set last year, added 67 planes to its order tally for 2007, boosting the net total past 1,200.
The latest orders, added Thursday to the online count the aircraft maker updates every week, included 31 single-aisle 737s ordered by Irish airplane leasing company AWAS (formerly based in Bellevue); another 31 737s ordered by Australia's Qantas Airways Ltd.; two widebody 777s ordered by Delta Air Lines; and three midsize 787s going to unidentified customers.
Boeing's net order total through Dec. 18 now stands at 1,213. Boeing's gross order total (meaning it is not reduced by earlier orders that were cancelled this year) is 1,223.
Airbus had logged 1,204 gross orders as of the end of November, the latest total available. The net Airbus figure is 1,095.
