Microsoft's annual meeting of corporate bosses runs this week at the Redmond campus, and some 111 chief executives are expected to attend.
The 11th annual CEO Summit includes a reception for guests at Chairman Bill Gates' Medina mansion this evening.
Microsoft won't reveal the full list of attendees but said the crowd will include Rupert Murdoch of News Corp., Jeff Bezos of Amazon.com, Michael Dell of Dell and Meg Whitman of eBay.
The three-day summit is a business conference, not a sales event, said event producer Alayne Reesberg.
Business topics will include globalization, emerging markets and retaining talent.
The event's theme is about the CEO agenda, she said.
"It's a catchall for all the things the CEOs deal with in their working lives," Reesberg said.
Gates and Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer will give keynote speeches, and executive Kevin Turner will conduct an onstage interview with A.G. Lafley, the chief executive of Procter & Gamble.
Unlike in past years, the news media are not invited to cover the event. Microsoft is not expected to make any company announcements.
