Hyatt Place, a Hyatt hotels subsidiary, and development company 6th and Denny signed a deal Wednesday morning to build a mixed-use hotel-condo project near Seattle Center.

Plans call for 158 hotel suites and 56 condominiums at the northwest corner of Denny Way and Aurora Avenue North. The project, Hyatt Place Seattle, is expected to open in the second quarter of 2008.

InterCoastal Hospitality will manage the hotel under a long-term management contract. The company and its affiliates own and operate 46 Hyatt, Marriott and Hilton hotels nationwide.
