Banking: Steve Petersen joined First Sound Bank as vice president and relationship manager. Gordon Browning was named executive vice president and chief financial officer at EvergreenBancorp. Kim Wolfenburger was named financial-management officer with the accounting team at Heritage Bank.
Forest products: Sandy McDade was named senior vice president and general counsel at Weyerhaeuser, Federal Way.
Health care: Florence Chang was named vice president and chief information officer at MultiCare Health System.
Law: David Tang, a partner with Preston, Gates & Ellis, was named president of the American Bar Foundation. Seann Hallisky joined Stoel Rives.
Magazines: Paul Yarnold was named managing editor at Bizillion Magazine, Lynnwood.
Technology: Adam Brotman was hired as vice president of licensing ventures at Corbis.
Travel: Steve Venard was named manager of agency operations at Business Travel NW.
Telecommunications: Larry Cooke was named sales director of the T-Mobile USA account for Optimi. Jeffrey Francis was hired as senior systems engineer at Dialpro Northwest.

Apparel: Julie Baxter was appointed vice president of the Moving Comfort brand at Moving Comfort, Bothell.
Commercial real estate: Binh Troung was promoted to commercial-market analysis manager at Commercial Brokers Association, Kirkland.

Finance: Richard Lindsay was named senior vice president of the life and annuities division and Robert Frary vice president of group-limited medical and work-site products at Symetra Financial, Bellevue.
Golf: Jon Schuller was appointed marketing manager at Oki Golf, Bellevue.
Technology: Paulette Price was named recruiting manager at BluWater Consulting, Kirkland.
