Forest products: Peter Sherland was named vice president of procurement and transportation and Patricia Bedient senior vice president, finance and strategic planning at Weyerhaeuser, Federal Way. Health care: Dr. Richard Ellenbogen of the University of Washington School of Medicine was elected president of the 2006 Congress of Neurological Surgeons. Hotels: Andrew Wright was named general manager of the Alexis Hotel. Investment management: Lynne Langseth was named chief operating officer at Laird Norton Tyee. Alexander Frink joined Rigel Capital as vice president, senior trader. James Simone joined Wentworth, Hauser and Violich as a portfolio manager. Duane Covey was named a principal at Jones Financial Cos., the holding company of Edward Jones. Greg Bronstein was named senior regional manager for Wells Fargo Private Client Services. Law: Robert Henry was named managing principal and Tara Richardson a principal at Lasher Holzapfel Sperry & Ebberson. Project management: Michael Connor was appointed corporate treasurer at Vulcan.
