Wednesday, Alaska Airlines customer-service jobs: Alaska Airlines will be seeking qualified candidates for up to 100 customer-service agents, referred by current Alaska employees, at a special job fair beginning at 8:30 a.m., Wednesday, Sea-Tac Marriott Airport Hotel, 3201 S. 176th St. Current employees are eligible to receive $1,000 for each referral who completes six months of service. Employees are welcome to accompany their referral from 8:30-9 a.m. for coffee, pastries and introductions.

Worker retraining

Community colleges offer free weekly sessions to help the unemployed, the formerly self-employed and displaced homemakers. Participants can receive free books and tuition for retraining. The locations and times:
