Seattle Times Twitter poetry contest: Send us a sweet Tweet

How much do we love poetry? Let us count the characters ...

In honor of Poetry Month, The Seattle Times is sponsoring a Twitter poetry contest. We're looking for rhymes, verses, musings, haiku or what-have-you of 140 characters or less. Here's how to enter:

Compose your entry: It can rhyme. Or not. All we require is that the content is suitable for a family newspaper.

Limit yourself: Entries must be 140 characters or less including slashes to separate stanzas, spaces between words and the hashtag #STpoem. (See examples below.)

Tweet your poem on your Twitter account: www.twitter.com.

Compare: Visit this page often to see what everyone else has contributed (on the right) or view the hashtag feed here.

At the end of the month, Seattle Times editors will choose their favorites and print them in the paper.
