The Seattle Times sports columnist and author of "Gloria's Miracle," along with members of Gloria Strauss' family, will discuss his book about Gloria's battle with cancer and sign copies. Kirby Larson

A children's book about the heartwarming story of a wild dog who refused to lose his friend, a Marine in Iraq, is featured Saturday at Third Place Books. The Lynnwood author will sign his book "G.I. Bones" at Seattle Mystery Bookshop. "G.I.
