Rise to the challenge during National Novel Writing Month and write a 175-page novel by midnight Nov. 30. The King County Library System is hosting NaNoWriMo, a monthlong series of free writing workshops to support you along the way. Topics range from "Where Do I Start?" to "Zombies and the Art of Ghoulish Writing!"

At 7 p.m. Tuesdays in November at the Bellevue Library, author and teacher Robert Dugoni will present writing workshops including creating memorable characters, holding the reader's attention, editing and story structure.
